The information has been obtained from printed
timetables and other local sources (like taking the bus) and is
given in good faith.
The times below apply until further notice. Note that In winter
there are only two journeys each way.
This is a 'first come, first served' operation.
There are no seat reservations. Large bags go in the 'hold', small
bags inside with you.
In Portimão this service stops at the long
distance bus station in Rua Abicada, 1.5km north of the city
centre and most other buses. Information here.
Albufeira's main bus station is 1.6km from the town centre.
Information here.
Buy your tickets on line at https://vamusalgarve.pt at
the bus station ticket office before getting on, except at the
airport where there is a ticket machine or you can pay the driver
when it's cash only.
Or download the Vamus 'app' and set up a pre payment account. That
will also reduce the fare and also on other VAMUS buses you might
use during your stay.

Armação de Pèra, Lagoa, Portimão and Lagos click or tap here.
With one exception in the evening, there are no
other direct buses from the airport to these places. You must go
via Faro bus station if there is no Aerobus at a time suitable
for you.
And that is assuming your flight is on time and it doesn't take
too long to get through border controls.
